Upstate Senior Concert Band

The Upstate Senior Concert Band is a program of Senior Action. Musicians who are qualified to participate in activities at Senior Action are welcome to join. We provide free concerts at retirement homes, rehabilitation centers and at other locations upon invitation. 

Our music director is Darian K. Washington, DMA.

The mission of the Upstate Senior Band is to promote lifelong learning, personal growth, and community engagement among senior citizens through active participation in music. We are dedicated to enhancing the well-being of older adults—both as performers and as audience members—by providing high-quality musical experiences at senior facilities and community venues throughout the Upstate of South Carolina.
